Skyfire FAQ

still no intention to have skyfire on iphone? what a waste ..
PacoJr67
what waste? the iPhone? Skyfire AFAIK still has a relatively small staff, and they are still running three concurrent development programs.

I can't imagine a reputable outfit like Skyfire trying to develop an app for jailbroken iPhones, and Apple isn't about to allow competition to Safari, so put the blame where it belongs. I'm sure if there was a reason to believe that Apple might tolerate competitors, Skyfire, Opera and Firefox all would start developing browsers for it.

I didnt mean that skyfire is to be blamed .. it has always been apples reluctance to open up for other developers. What I meant was such a loss for iphone users not able to have full web facilities esp viewing sites that need flash. skyfire works very well on my omnia II but not on my iphone.

Apple aggressively wants to keep Flash off the iPhone, because then software devs could write flash apps and bypass the App Store. So you're not going to see a Skyfire-like experience on the iPhone in the forseeable future.

What about Opera Mini in the Apple-store?
Apple has changed, now you can make an Internet browser for iPhone.
We need a pc experience browser on the iPhone, help us to have a perfect device.

Thank you
