The app worked fine until yesterday, but now when I click on update status, it looks like it updates, but does not give me confirmation that it sent the status to Facebook and Twitter. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but no luck.

The developers know about the problem with updating Twitter status and they are working on a fix now.
