Skyfire Forums > General > Installing & Reinstalling

I had to do a hard reset on cell and reinstall all my applications. Skyfire 0.9 is unable to aquire data connection after installing version 0.9. On startup of Skyfire, the application hangs searching for data connection and checks if on "flight mode". Please advise how to fix problem.

Well if it is still not working, go to your connection manager, settings,( at this point a menu will pop up) select phone, then select internet, and finally get setting. Should work now. Good luck.

The best I can tell. The original poster has a settings problem.
Yours is not a setting issue. Either the server timed you out, or you lost signal strength.

TYTN II means you are likely on ATT. If you're on ATT make sure your MEdia Net settings are not set to use a proxy. Search the forums for 'cingular' to find what the settings should be, I've posted them a bunch of times.

What Skyfire servers are you connecting to? Is it a server with an ID that starts 10.100 or a server ID that starts 10.110?

Also, do you see this while you are interacting with Skyfire? (That is, moving the pointer around, clicking on things, etc.?) Or does it happen while you are not actively using the browser?
